Litt om Kjersti Østgaard Buaas:

Kjersti var så ivrig at hun kjørte fly mellom Trondheim og Oslo for å delta på Norgescuprenn ikledd snowboardsko og briller. Hun kom fort med på juniorlandslaget og har vært på landslaget siden 1999. Kjersti tilhører i dag den absolutte verdenstoppen i halfpipe og slopestyle. Hun er karakterisert som målrettet og uredd i sin kjøring. Hun hopper høyere enn de andre og har lenge ledet an i stilutviklingen på jentesiden. Kjersti er et utpreget konkurransemenneske. Med OL-bronse fra Torino har Kjersti befestet seg i den desiderte verdenstoppen blant kvinner.
